Just because you can’t go anywhere physically, doesn’t mean you can’t explore the world. Find educational sites that offer virtual visits like a zoo or a museum and take them through the visit. Then, you can have a session on “what did you learn from this visit?".

Lockdown play

Mom, during these times, keeping a happy and positive environment for your little one is more important than ever!

Tip #1 Virtual visits are fun

Just because you can’t go anywhere physically, doesn’t mean you can’t explore the world. Find educational sites that offer virtual visits like a zoo or a museum and take them through the visit. Then, you can have a session on “what did you learn from this visit?”

Tip #2 Happy yoga

Mom, your little one is naturally active, now more than ever as they are home all day. Encourage your child’s physical activity, even if it is indoors, with an activity such as yoga for kids! Physical activity is so good for children, it reduces stress and gloominess, promotes healthy weight and fitness, and is good for the immune system. The whole family can work together on a yoga routine that is easy for them to follow. For a bit of fun, encourage them to come up with some of their own moves.

Tip #3 Happy cooking together

Cooking with mom is full of happy learnings for your child. It is a fun bonding activity that helps them get familiar with new foods. Kids are more likely to taste meals they have proudly created themselves. It also gives them a better understanding of healthy eating habits. Go ahead and cook with your little MasterChef.

Tip #4 Happy dance challenge

Dance yourself happy today! Dancing can improve your child’s mental health (and yours) by boosting overall happiness. Dancing is a wonderful way to express emotions. It also stimulates your child’s social, cognitive and motor skills, boosting their well-being!

Tip #5 Happy watering plants together

Gardening is good for physical and mental health and provides a way to interact with nature. Lockdown may delay you starting a little gardening project with your child, but you can involve your toddler in caring for your house plants. Teach them to care about other living beings by watering the plants of the house together!

Tip #6 Happy hide and seek

Playing hiding games with your little one is a fun way to help them learn to regulate their emotions and develops social expectations for their happy and healthy development.

Tip #7 Happy costume party

Let your toddler’s imagination guide you on this one, ask them to choose an outfit for both of you, and spend some quality time together! Spontaneous play with no end goals develops decision-making skills and school readiness.

Tip #8 Happy recycled fort

Build a fort with recycled cardboard and let your toddler’s imagination roll! Unstructured games boost their creativity. This helps to build their brain and promote learning and social behaviour.

Mom, we hope these tips help you keep your little one entertained so they can grow happy at home.

IMPORTANT NOTICE. A-well balanced diet, both during pregnancy and after delivery, helps sustain an adequate supply of breastmilk. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended during the first 6 months of life followed by the introduction of adequate nutritious complementary foods, along with sustained breastfeeding up to two years of age and beyond

NESTLÉ LACTOKID® 4 is not a breastmilk substitute. As babies grow at different rates, seek advice with your health professionals on the appropriate time when your baby should start receiving this product.
